Training and Certifications

Ordained as a Spiritualist minister, I have been teaching classes, guest lecturer, giving public and private readings, conducting circles and working with healing energies. Some classes that I created were, The History of Spiritualism, Gifts of Spirit, Dream Interpretation, Spiritual Development and a Meditation class. I do conduct a weekly Zoom spiritual book club where we read spiritual books and discuss them. Our current focus are the teachings of White Eagle. Even though these channeled messages were given so long ago, the Truth is still valid and resonates for us today. Spirit guides me during these classes and lets me know when a “homework assignment” is needed for the class members and myself. Many times, these assignments are opportunities for our own self-healing. How can we be of service to others or a channel for healing when there is healing to be done within.

My nursing and psychology degrees have helped me to understand family dynamics and how these early experiences can still be affecting us today in our relationships with those around us. Also, my knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the human body helps me to identify where a person maybe having physical ailments. Many times, Spirit will allow me to “feel” where the issue is in the body when I am giving readings. Healing begins with ourselves and I am thankful that Spirit has helped me to create a safe space where we can share and grow on our Spiritual path together.

God Story: Kmart

One Sunday morning back in the 1980’s I went to the Spiritualist church that I regularly attend for their service.  I had been going to this church for a while and was even taking a weekly Spiritual Development class. I had, had some interesting experiences in the spiritual development class that I was taking and wanted to learn and do more with my spiritual gifts.  After the service was over and people were socializing, one of the senior ministers came up to me and said that I would be good at palm reading.  I thought that this was interesting because I had never thought about this or had never seen it done before. I was wanting to do more and to find a way to have more of that communication with Spirit.  She told me that I should try it.  I told her that I would explore this for sure. 

The next day on Monday, I went to the library and checked out a book on palm reading. I was very excited about this and went home and read the first chapter. After reading this chapter, I found it was very technical and thought to myself that I could not memorize all the lines in two hands.  This was way too mechanical for me, and I put the book down and did not read any more of it.        

Later that week on Thursday, my friend came to visit from Sydney, Australia. He was planning to visit me for a few days and then he was going on to Europe for additional traveling.  He told me that he needed a camera to take with him to Europe, and did I know of a place where he could buy one. I thought for a moment and told him that we could probably find one at Kmart. He was all for that and so I drove us to Kmart. On the way there I was talking about the Spiritualist church that I went too.  He proceeded to tell me that he had had a numerology chart done before he left Sydney and that today, ‘his numbers were good.” 

We walked into Kmart and found the camera counter still talking and laughing about his good numbers. A saleswoman was behind the counter and asked what we were laughing about.  I told her that, “my friend’s numbers were good today.” She immediately said, “that is good, I believe in that.” I said, “yes, I believe in that too.” She then said, “you know the thing that I have always wanted to have done is to have my palm read.” I immediately thought, I wish I had read that book. I said to her, “yes that is very interesting, well I read palms.” She said, “great, here” and laid her palms down on the glass counter for me to read. I thought to myself, “oh dear God you are going to have to help me with this one.”  I said, “well I don’t read the lines but let me take your hands and see what I get.”  I was feeling that I could not do this and a voice within my head said, “Go on, you can do it.” I then said to myself, “Oh no I can’t do it.” The voice within my head said stronger, “Go on, you can do it.” I then took her hands and closed my eyes. Immediately this rush of energy came over me, it was like a cold shower had been turned on over my head. I opened my eyes to look at her. I knew there was a Spirit with me and it wanted to say hello to her. I then got the letter “E”. I told her this and asked if she knew anyone in Spirit with a name that started with the letter “E”. She said yes, her mother Evelyn. As she acknowledged this, the energy increased as confirmation. I knew that was who was with me. I told her that her mother was there with us. She was so happy. She acknowledged that her mother had passed away about seven years ago. I told her that even though she had passed seven years ago, she was still there with her and had never left her. She still loves her so much. She was so relieved and started crying. I told her that there was a sadness with her. She admitted that she had had a fight with her boyfriend that morning before she had come to work. I started telling her all about her boyfriend, his traits and what he was all about. (This was the first time that I had been able to “read” someone that wasn’t there with me).  She acknowledged that it was all true what I had said about him. After I finished talking to her and released her hands, she came from around that counter and gave me the biggest hug. She said, “I was feeling so bad when I came into work today. Now I know that my mother is here with me and loves me so much. Thank you so much.” I told her that she was so welcome.

My friend bought a camera and as we were walking out the store he said, “How long have you been doing that?” I told him it was my first time. 

What I learned from this experience was that it gave me the confidence that I could do this outside of class and that whenever, wherever there was a need to help someone, God and the angels will be there to use you as an instrument to help that person. You must have faith in God and the angels. This work, gift is all about helping people. It is not about me or furthering my ego, it is all about helping people. This was the lesson of this experience, and I have never forgotten it. After this I really became more confident in my abilities and things started happening.
